Gionee M2017: luxury smartphone with 7000 mAh battery
Gionee unveiled its M2017, a smart phone that the Chinese market sold at a very high price. It caters to the premium market, and has very valid technical characteristics for the category of “luxury”.
Search features at the top on a luxury smartphoneis not wise, but in recent years we have to admit that the category has been fleshed out with interesting proposals. The latest is Gionee M2017 a large device which is characterized on the one hand for the typical excessive style of those who love to flaunt, to the other nice features. Among these stands out a battery pack composed by two batteries of 3,500 mAh, for a total of 7,000 mAh.
The display is an AMOLED from 5.7 inch diagonal with full support for Quad HD resolution, and 2560×1440 pixels. Peculiarities of the integrated panel is the double-curved edges , very similar to that of the top edge of the Samsung family range. On the front is not lacking a sensor for scanning fingerprints and capacitive buttons for navigation on Android. The version installed natively is still Marshmallow, customized with the Amigo 3.5 UI.
With the new Gionee M2017 points to the premium market, and goes even further. China is priced from 6,999 yuan, an exorbitant price for the canons of the place and the current exchange rate of about 1000 euro. At this price under the body we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor with 4 or 6 GB of RAM depending on the version, and 128 or 256 GB of integrated storage. The two batteries can be charged using the Quick Charge 3 on the Type-C USB port integrated.
On a technical level the smartphone is very good, but certainly not surprising also in relation to the price that is significantly higher than other similar proposals. The surplus is justified by the special design, with gold inserts (also in the software many elements reminiscent of the precious metal) and stylistic choices and marketing that they wink at certain exclusive environments. We do not know if Gionee M2017 will surpass China’s borders, but if he does Expect exorbitant prices.
