Photo Sphere app in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

We talked about the new features introduced in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and we will focus on one of them: Photo Sphere app. As its name suggests, this mode allows you to make using the camera of your smartphone 360-degree panoramas of your environment.

This new mode is used as a classic panning, but has the particularity to use all three spatial axes instead of one usually. Where Google is strong, is that each view will be associated with XML data that you can send by mail or add it to Google Maps. Thus, everyone can contribute to the improvement of Street View!

A video from the following explains very well the mode of sphere and Photo 360 degree panorama introduced with Android 4.2. You can test this preview on the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10.
