Realme does not stop and, a few months after the launch of Realme 5i , it is already ready to show its successor, Realme 6i . That the smartphone was around the corner was now clear , so we are not surprised at the presentation of a new base range in such a tight turn. But what does the Realme 6i have to offer more than its predecessor ? Let’s take a look at the data sheet to find out.
Realme has chosen to switch to a MediaTek SoC, more precisely to the brand new Helio G80 announced in February (for the first time on a smartphone). Recall that the chip offers an octa-core processor with 2 Cortex-A75 cores at 2GHz + 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, flanked by a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The smartphone also equips 3 / 4GB of RAM and 64 / 128GB of internal memory.
The Realme 6i is the world’s first ANDROID smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC WITH 5000 mAh battery
As for the display, we find a 6.5 ” panel with HD + resolution and a drop notch that houses the 16 MegaPixel front camera. The main photographic sector can count on 4 sensors: one 48 MegaPixel main one, one for 8 MegaPixels with 119 ° ultra-wide-angle lenses, one 2MP for macro and one 2MP black and white for portrait mode shots, with the rear fingerprint reader.
Finally we find a 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 18W via the USB Type-C connector (the 5i had a microUSB) and the operating system based on Android 10 and Realme UI interface. Realme 6i will be marketed in Myanmar (Burma) starting from March 29 at the equivalent price of 160 euros for the 3 / 64GB model and 195 euros for the 4 / 128GB model in the two colors Green Tea and White Milk.
